“As you press on for justice, be sure to move with dignity and discipline, using only the weapon of love. Let no man pull you so low as to hate him. Always avoid violence. If you succumb to the temptation of using violence in your struggle, unborn generations will be the recipients of a long and desolate night of bitterness, and your chief legacy to the future will be an endless reign of meaningless chaos. Hate begets hate; violence begets violence; toughness begets a greater toughness. We must meet the forces of hate with the power of love.” — Martin Luther King.

Thats an excellent quote for all of us
So true!
True that, Thanks FG
Very true, Now if only people acted the quote……
“unborn generations will be the recipients of a long and desolate night of bitterness, and your chief legacy to the future will be an endless reign of meaningless chaos”
I hope our leaders realize this.
excellent quote!
I wish our leaders would stop quoting MLK and follow his example
thanks farmgal. too bad that such a small percentage of kenyans here in kenya read blogs.
thanks Fm.love conquers all.
Thanks FG for sharing this.
This time last year was soooo not like today and today is soooo not like last year!!!!..
Live and let live.Love people!
Peace,love and Unity!
I am deeply saddened by the wake of events after the election. We have lost soo many lives and it now seems that the people who started all this are unable to stop. Its a pity that somethings happen just as we watch them in broad day light. I feel sick to my stomach if i imagine all the innocent kids and women burning because someone thinks they are in the wrong place and they should have been born in another place.Lets all respect human rights and stop these genocide….it happened in Rwanda …we should have learnt our lessons by now….it can also happen in kenya
i have a dream that one day…
excellent. cheers!
We shall overcome.
ladies and gentlemen turn your bibles to the book of John 8:31b-32 “”If you dwell within the revelation I have brought, you are indeed my disciples; you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free…..”
yes the truth shall set us all free … irrespective of our standpoints.
It’s not up to our leaders to stop the carnage that’s been wrought on our beloved country. It’s their blind ambition that got us where we are…
All I know is ,”Too long a suffering can turn the heart to stone. – Yeats” I know.
atimes read what people post and wonder.. do they really mean this things or its just to show “solidarity” with the people.. and the moment….. ?
Just where is the Valentine post? I demand to know!
its a type of sharpening that we must go through at this time so we shall overcome and we shall be refined and come out better. the process is painful and sad but surely, we SHALL come through this alright.
Thats so much what we need… Love, they say bring you friends close and enemies closer.
